Happy International Yoga Day 2018! After a particularly challenging fall and winter, I have turned to focus on my personal health and wellbeing, taking moments of self care and self appreciation every day.
I’ve focused my attention on being kind to myself and to others, and making time to check in with my mood, thoughts, feelings, emotions, cravings, anger, and resentment on the little space that is my yoga mat (I don’t even own one; I just use my studio’s). I do this daily now.
I’m learning how to not do anything, let go, breathe (yes, breathe) through a moving meditation, be okay right here, and separate work from life, something I thought was all-in-one with me but really isn’t. At all.
It’s all been unexpected, and is positively influencing everything and every relationship in my life, including the one with myself. I have much to work through but I’m enjoying the journey. Thanks to my amazing yoga teachers who challenge and support me. I will be at practice tonight!
