Hi, I’m Allison Day, the cookbook author of Whole Bowls and Purely Pumpkin, the voice and lens behind Yummy Beet, a food stylist and photographer and a nutritionist (R.H.N.). My work has appeared in the New York Times สล็อตเว็บตรง , Food Network Canada (regular nutritionist contributor), W Network, Chicago Tribune, The Irish Times, SHAPE, Vegetarian Times, Prevention and more. I was thrilled to win gold in the 2015 Taste Canada Food Writing Awards, the highest honour for culinary writing in Canada, in their inaugural blog category. I live in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Yummy Beet features healthy, vegetable-focused recipes using seasonal, fresh ingredients, written and photographed by me, Allison Day. I enjoy a vegetable-forward way of eating, and the approachable creations you’ll find on here mirror this. Having grown up with a sister who has celiac disease and lactose intolerance, many of the recipes I share on Yummy Beet (and in my cookbooks) are gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy-friendly. Without restrictions or dietary labels, Yummy Beet aims to showcase my love of beautiful, produce-packed cuisine that doesn’t sacrifice great taste or use hard to find ingredients.
